To foster the quality of staff we provide or supply to our clients, our staff go through a thorough application process. Our process is simple, straightforward and very responsive to the information gathered from our candidates; we place you (applicant) in a suitable environment relevant to your experience and skills.

Stage 1

Our Requirements

Personal Identity & Evidence of Right to Work in the UK

  • Valid Passport or Birth Certificate & Driving license for British Citizens
  • For Non-European Citizen you must be able to present evidence of entitlement to work as described by UK Borders & Immigration Agency
  • 2 Passport sized photographs
  • Details of 2 professional referees of management level, both MUST be from your most recent places of work
  • Proof of address i.e. bank statement, utility bill etc (must be no more than 3 months old)
  • You will also be required to have a current DBS which is subsequently renewed on an annual basis.
  • Qualifications relevant to training and areas of expertise.

Specialist Nurses

  • Certificate of training relevant to their area of expertise
  • Healthcare Assistants
  • NVQ 2 in Health & Social Care or equivalent

Stage 2

Application process

Candidates will need to complete our application Form. This is downloadable from our download page. For shortlisted candidates, there will be series of interviews and 121 interactions with our recruiting team. The process will be concluded with an extensive on boarding program (induction).

Our in house Training Certificates

Successful candidates will be required to complete Hawks ‘customized trainings as part of their induction or Personal development plan (PDP). Most of this course will be have annual refreshers.

  • Health and Safety Awareness Training.
  • Food Hygiene/Food Safety.
  • Manual Handling or/and Moving and Handling of People.
  • Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.
  • Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work.

Stage 3

On Boarding

Hawks Care on boarding plan is developed with our clients in mind; as such quality assurance is key.  With this in mind, we match our clients’ needs or requirements to staff that are qualified, skilled and best suited for their business needs. Hawks Care on boarding has that form part of the plan, these include;

  • CPR
  • Basic Life Support
  • Health and Safety Awareness Training.
  • Food Hygiene/Food Safety.
  • Manual Handling or/and Moving and Handling of People.
  • Safeguarding Vulnerable Adults.
  • Infection Prevention and Control.
  • Emergency First Aid at Work.

Our on boarding process for new applicant is completed when a candidate has attended and is signed off.  

Hawks Care successful applicants are offered employment subject to Enhanced CRB disclosure and upon receiving 2 Referees.
